Cattle Health Management with a Focus on Sustainable Yields

Panský dvůr Complex, Telč
Třebelovice Farm

Philosophy of the Cow Master Conference

When searching for the theme of this year’s Cow Master conference, we arrived at what matters most: from time to time, we need reassurance that what we do every day truly makes sense. This feeling of validation and inner satisfaction is, for many of us, the real measure of what we call success.

Our goal is not to come up with a new “revolutionary” title every two years. In the long term, we want to maintain a clear direction: cattle health management with a focus on sustainable yields. At the same time, we aim to fulfill our message: education that is sustainable in practice. The outcome we strive for is a simple goal—success with meaning.

The world is speeding up, information, recommendations, and new approaches are increasing. Along with that grows uncertainty about whether we are making the right decisions. No one can grasp everything alone. That is why connecting individual disciplines, sharing experience, and returning to the question of “why” and what purpose the steps we implement in practice actually serve is more important than ever. Often, the best driver of progress is something very ordinary—open discussion.

The Cow Master 2026 conference will take place on June 18–19, 2026. The lecture program will be held at the Panský dvůr complex in Telč, followed by practical workshops in cooperation with the ZD Třebelovice farm. The theme remains the same: herd management with a focus on sustainable yields—this time again from multiple perspectives, with an emphasis on applicability in everyday reality.

Our wish is for Cow Master to be a place that every two years helps you reorient yourself, provides confidence, and inspires you to do things even better. Because “more heads know more,” and viewing one’s own work from different perspectives often brings exactly what we need most in daily operations: calmness in decision-making and the energy to move forward.

We believe that Cow Master has the potential to create a community of people who want to be both satisfied and successful in their profession. The beauty of success is that it is scalable—it is never truly finished, and each of us defines it in our own way. We want to offer you a path toward it, one that is easier to walk together.

International Cow Master Conference 2026

The international Cow Master conference ranks among the most significant events of its kind in the Czech Republic. This year, it will focus on herd management and the sustainability of yields—topics that are essential for both current practice and the future of livestock farming. The lecture program will take place at the Panský Dvůr complex in Telč, while the practical workshops will be held in cooperation with the ZD Třebelovice farm.

Introducing our speakers

The balancing method of hoof trimming focuses on achieving an even sole thickness and the associated better distribution of weight on cattle hooves. This method supports hoof health and improves the overall welfare and productivity of animals by preventing lameness. If you would like to learn more, I would be happy to meet you at the Cow Master conference, where you can find out more about the benefits of the Balancing Method. Investing in hoof health is not a cost—it is a pathway to greater profitability and animal well-being.

After studying veterinary medicine, he gained several years of experience on dairy farms in New Zealand. Today, he is a veterinarian, a Cow Signals lecturer, and a co-founder of the NKGC Hoof Health Center. In his practice, he focuses on the interconnections within cattle herd management, with an emphasis on housing systems.

A graduate of the University of Veterinary Sciences in Brno, he has worked in Slovak cattle farming for more than 35 years. For the past 13 years, he has served as a veterinarian at one of the largest dairy farms in the Slovak Republic (approximately 3,000 dairy cows), which is Danish-owned. He also has experience with interventions during outbreaks of foot-and-mouth disease.

In 1998, she started as a veterinary practitioner specializing in bovine hoof health and a certified functional hoof trimming instructor. She has long been involved in the education of hoof trimmers, farmers and veterinarians on hoof diseases, and has been working with the Veterinary University of Munich.

Christoph Mülling is a professor of veterinary anatomy with a passion for hands-on teaching and research in functional anatomy. Following five years of practice, he began to dedicate his professional career to university teaching and research. He collaborates nationally and internationally with scientists, veterinarians, students, hoof trimmers, and many other professionals from all around the world.

Veterinary practitioner focused on cattle herd health management in his business. The cornerstone of this is a comprehensive hoof care, consistently focusing on the quality of work performed, data evaluation and comfort access to the animals. He sees educating himself, colleagues and farmers as a way to improve the entire cattle sector.

My main goal is to improve and support animal health and welfare. I strive to promote proven pharmaceutical, hygiene, and nutritional products and innovations for sustainable animal production. Global challenges related to animal diseases, pathogens, and the reduction of antibiotic use are my primary focus and priority. I am committed to contributing to this goal.

A qualified veterinary technician. He has been working with cattle hooves for many years, drawing primarily on practical experience gained directly in livestock farming. He began his career as a zootechnician on a small farm, where he encountered real animal health issues on a daily basis and the need for functional—not merely formal—hoof care. In 2015, he founded a company focused on professional cattle hoof care. In his practice, he emphasizes proper technique, lameness prevention, and practical solutions applicable under everyday farm conditions.
